Yoga

You want me to do what?

Went to yoga last night and loved it. I've only done yoga at home from DVD's, but never knew if I was really doing the poses correctly. Our local running store, Black Dog Running, hosted a yoga class for runners last night and I jumped at the chance. Felt so good afterwards....I believe I'll sign up for more.

Note to self: Downward-Facing Dog can be dangerous. Need a yoga mat....the tropical beach towel just won't do, unless I want to do slip-n-slide.

Namaste,
Laurie

  1. LOL, Laurie! Are you SURE that isn't you? I have thought about yoga so many times but have never tried it- xo Diana
Ps- You DO know you have double word verification on, right?

    1. Ha! I'm sure! You should try it Diana. You really do feel great afterwards. And no, I didn't know I had double word verification on....didn't even know it was an option. I just wanted to stop spammers from commenting. Seems to work. Thanks for the heads up.

    2. OK, I checked. I don't see anything about "double" word verification. But I do have word verification turned on to stop spammers for awhile. They have been driving me crazy. Thanks again.

  3. Our tennis club offers yoga classes, but I have never taken one. While I was working, they were during my work hours. Now I should sign up. I did take a water Zumba class and was amazed that I felt sore afterwards because in the water I didn't feel any impact.

    1. You should give it a try Carol. I didn't feel sore at all afterwards, but just relaxed and completelyl stretched out....best way I know to describe it.

  5. I would love to do yoga. I could do it at home but just don't have the motivation needed. Much nicer to share the experience with others. Of course, I know if I pay for a class, I won't go. So I walk ... it's free. :) Have a fabulous Friday! Tammy

    1. Hi Tammy, I don't have the motivation to do yoga at home either, especially when I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. But, if I pay for it...now that's a different story. I'm going to get my money's worth. ;)

    1. Thanks Nancy! Runners need to stay flexible, especially in the hip flexors...so I'm sure this will fit the bill. Happy Friday to you, too!

    1. Thanks Tanya, no headstands for this chick. But now the down dog and I have a re-match coming up. It takes me awhile to make the bloggy rounds too.....which reminds me, I loved your post on the old Colorado mines.
