F-Words

Food and flowers for our feathered friends.

Fit to eat. I think this is our little girl that flew into the glass door the other day.
Looks like she's missing some feathers on her cheek.

Father Cardinal and his Frau Freund.

At the Feeder

Okay, so it was a little slow today. Had to amuse myself, somehow. The painters are here, which means I can't move about the house like normal and I can't decorate for Christmas, yet. So, I've situated myself where I can see the birdies flit, fly, flutter and feed.

Ihr Freund,
Laurie
P.S. Flitting birds = photo failure

  1. Very nice F words. And great birdie pictures. As you know, watching them is one of our favorite pastimes. :)

    1. HaHa! I was hoping the title wouldn't be too scandalous. Yes, I know you love watching birdies. I have the perfect spot to watch them at the lake. I'm learning their eating habits, but just need to get better at photographing them.

  2. Fabulous feathered friends feasting!
    Love bird watching Laurie...
We had a very unwelcome visitor late summer, and I had stopped putting out seed!
My feeders used to be right outside my kitchen window..great for photography...
Now....they are way across the yard...lots of missed photo ops :o(
Oh well...at least I am feeding them again...
Hope the painters are finished soon...lovely clean walls!
Enjoy your day...still unseasonably warm here...but no sun!
    Cheers!
    Linda :o)

  3. lol....very cute! Glad the little cardinal is ok! I've had them fall dead immediately after hitting the window!
Last day for painting? Hope so for your sake!

    1. Oh gosh, if one fell dead in front of me, I would probably cry. We were hoping the painters would finish today, but they weren't able to. They probably have an hour or so to go tomorrow. And then, I can decorate for Christmas. Woo Hoo!
