Since.....

Since I've been sick, I've knitted dishcloths, started a new book....Go Set A Watchman by Harper Lee, and planned my new vegetable garden.

Thank you all for the messages and well wishes!

And now, I'm going to be a whiny baby, for a minute.
It's been three weeks!
For someone who avoids doctors offices like the plague, I've been twice. It was bad, y'all! Three weeks, two doctor visits, and two rounds of antibiotics later, I think I am finally kicking bronchitis to the curb. I expect the cough to linger, however.

Cliff is getting better, but he ended up in the doctor's office, too.
OMG, you should have been there! First of all, the young nurse said, "Get on the scales". I said, "I will, but you can't say a word and Cliff, you turn your head." HaHa! Cliff rolled his eyes at me and the nurse said, "Not you, I've got your weight from last week." After she weighed Cliff, she then escorted us across the hall and put us in the same exam room.

Cliff gets bored, easily!

He starts reading everything on the walls, wanting to use the blood pressure cuff, the little ear, nose and throat thingy hanging on the wall...on me. And then he asked, "What if I tell the doctor to make you take your shirt off and get on the exam table so he can listen to your chest?" To which I responded, "Well, are you ready to get your prostate checked?" That hushed him.....for awhile. Two, almost three hours later. I was headed to CVS, but first, I took the boy home. Lord only knows what he would do in the pharmacy. He has gone up to a nurse's desk in the hospital before and asked if they had any prescription medication. LOL!!

I'm so glad we're starting to feel better.

Laurie

My daughter and I used to pass the time by writing all our family birthdays on the calendars on the walls.....our Dr got a big kick out of it!

    1. HaHa! You're as crazy as he is. Lol! I think I had him scared, that time. Yes, I'm glad I'm heading towards healthy, again. I hate being sick. I just need to get my energy back now. Those dishcloths are super easy...I bet you could crochet them. Uh oh, hope you get the kinks worked out of your iPad. Supposed to be a wonderful weekend....enjoy!

    3. Yes, it's made in Canada from 100% USA Cotton. How about that? The brand is Sugar 'n Cream by Lily. Here in the US, you can find it at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Glad to hear you solved your iPad problem.

  3. Great that both of you are feeling better. It must be because you keep it well humoured all the time ;)

    1. I am. Thanks, Darlene. Just left with this awful cough. I hear it could linger for a couple of weeks.

  5. I am glad you are both beginning to feel better! Your stories of Cliff remind me of how my husband entertains himself when he is bored in public. I frequently find myself explaining, "My family teases me about inappropriate being my favorite word. It's really not. I just have a lot of opportunities to use it." ;)

  6. Wow...what an ordeal you've had! Glad you're both getting better! The Mister hasn't been to the doctor in decades! Now you're making me think I don't ever want to go with him. haha....or maybe I should to make sure he behaves!

    1. Ha! I always wondered why women went to the doctor with their husbands. Now I know. You better go with the Mister.

  7. What good news it is hearing that you two are feeling better! I think there must be a virus going around that is leaving its victims with bronchitis. I think I told you our Angela has it too and the kids have coughs and I'm afraid they will be next. The flu is going around bad down here too. Our Stephanie is a school nurse and she's had sick kids lining up outside her office door all week. Angela said that every day kids are having to be signed out because of flu. I will be so glad when the sick season ends! I hope you can finally enjoy a good weekend together now that you're both doing better!

    1. Thank you, Lynn! The doctor told us that the amount of patients coming in with the flu had increased 8-fold in one week. I also agree with you, I think there's a bad virus going around that turns into bronchitis. I'm so glad I'm feeling better and my stint with it is all but over.

    1. Thanks, again. The house in back is a crude drawing of my garden planning. This is the first year I'll have a garden at the lake. Hope it produces well.

  12. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but so many people I know have had bronchitis and it is a bear to kick.

    Hope you are well soon!

    1. Thanks, Carol. So many people around here have it and they are telling me the same thing. I do feel much better, just contending with the lingering cough.
