I've Been On The Road Again

  The Episcopal Chapel
Pineville, SC

This sweet chapel was built in 1810.
During the Civil War, the church remained untouched by Union troops as they burned most of the buildings in this small town to the ground.

My back road adventures continue....

  1. It's easy to see that structure has been well taken care of. Thankfully!

    1. Thank you! Yep, 1810. SC is rich in history and many old buildings, churches, etc. are still standing. Some are well cared for and others have been left to the elements.

    1. It was a gorgeous day and yes the church is so beautiful. I can only imagine all the sermons preached there and songs sung by the choirs. And I can only imagine how many church picnics were held in the church yard.

  6. Such a sweet chapel! Is it a historic site or is it still in use? Wouldn't it be a fun venue for a wedding?!
