A Foggy Morning

I would be so sad, if I didn't get to experience the changing of seasons.

A few fall changes around here would be:
  • Drops in temperature
  • Lower humidity
  • Leaves changing colors, and
  • FOG
Last week, we had some fog at the lake and I heard Mother Nature saying,
"Hang on dude....foggy mornings means cooler weather is acoming."

After the fog lifted, you could almost feel the crispness in the air.

I am so thankful for changing seasons!

  1. I love fog...so cool! We had some this morning, too, but I didn't get any photos.
And you already know I love the seasons changing.....variety is the spice of life, right?
    Sure am enjoying this fall....

    1. Yes, I do know these things about you. We have so much in common. I'm enjoying this fall, too. Just not all the rain. It's raining again and flooding again. Not like before, hopefully. But the dam, right down from my house, is releasing water out of all 4 gates again.

  2. Oh....waking up to that view everyday!
    Fantastic!
Let me ask...what did you do with all your stuff in your house?
    Storage?
    Nosey,eh? Hahaha!
    Cheers!

    1. Yes, Linda, that view is what sold us on the house. I love looking at it! What did I do with my stuff....well, I gave away a lot, donated a lot to Goodwill and a couple of local churches, sold a few things, stored a lot (mostly things that my children will get) and I'm still trying to cram everything else into the lake house. I'm afraid, I'm going to have to go through and get rid of even more things. It has been a challenge for sure.

  3. Such a beautiful spot to enjoy this season! Our leaves are pretty much done and the temps have gone back and forth between cool, cold, warm and warmer! I hope you're doing well with the move! Take some more time to enjoy your beautiful lake home!

    1. Thanks, YaYa! Is the temperature going back and forth typical for this time of year?

Doing better with the move. It's just going to take time to get the lake house like I want it. Once I do, I'm sure it will start feeling like home.

  4. I DO love a foggy morning as long as I don't have to drive in heavy fog. We have had some horrible local accidents here and a big bridge that closes right down if we have heavy fog. I love when the sun breaks through and the fog slowly dissipates. Beautiful post, Laurie! xo Diana

    1. I just heard about an accident in the Midwest, somewhere, as a result of heavy fog. Driving in it is dangerous, but if you can just sit back and watch it from home.....yes, it's a beautiful part of nature. Safe travels to all those driving in fog. Have a great day, Diana!

  5. When I lived in the Middle East one of the things that I missed the most (after my family) was the changing seasons. We had hot and hotter weather whilst living there. I remember my dog barking at the sky one day and I couldn't work out why, but then I noticed one single cloud. She'd never seen one before!
    Enjoy your beautiful autumnal display.

  6. I love foggy fall mornings too. Your pictures did a good job of capturing the muted colors and I loved how you showed the fog lifting. Very pretty!
