Strolled down to the beach this morning and saw quite a few interesting things.
Of course, there were sea oats...
And just beyond, the sea.
There were seagulls...
...soaring just above the surf.
There were shells that spell and....
...the ones that beckon to be taken home.
There were chairs and umbrellas,
umbrellas and chairs.
And chairs and umbrellas, waiting to be shared.
There were umbrellas and flags,
raised for all to see.
There were flowers and....
the promise of flowers.
There were blue ones,
and pink ones,
and yellow ones, too.
There were crosses to remind us....
who died for you!
At first it was the sights.....

Have a great night,
Laurie
love the beach...wish I could be there.
ReplyDeleteI know how much you love the beach!
DeleteBeautiful! Can't believe you can live close to that all the time!
ReplyDeleteI love your eye for photography....gorgeous photos!
Thanks, Betsy...I am blessed, for sure, to be able to live here. And my photography could be much better....especially, if I would use my camera instead of my iPhone. Ha! Really, I want a better camera. Mine is old and only has 6 megapixels. I can not master taking pictures with it in the manual mode, to save me. But I do think I have a good eye for composition. The other stuff is a work in progress. Yours, by the way, is fantastic. I love those you take with your macro lens.
DeleteWhat a beautiful post, Laurie. The photos are gorgeous - love the tranquility of the beach! I am finally back from a summer of travels in CO and the SW...looking forward to catching up on what you've been up to in the next few days. XOXO
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tanya! You have been very busy with your travels, haven't you? Can't wait to catch up with you, too.
DeleteI have to echo Tanya and say what a beautiful post. Thank you for taking us all along on that most lovely walk. It had a very calming affect on me.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mama Pea. I imagine my walk on the beach was as calming as a day in your garden.
DeleteI love the beach ... it calms me. I am partial to the beach on an overcast day. There's just something magical about it on an overcast day.

Thanks, Diane! The beach calms me too. Hearing the surf lulls me into a nap every time and an overcast day is even better. I'm so glad you stopped by. Hope you come again.
DeleteWhat a great walk along the beach!
ReplyDeleteThanks for bringing me along, Laurie!
Beautiful photos.....
Enjoy your week...
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Thanks, Linda! Same to you!!
DeleteWhat a lovely stroll on the beach - your wildflowers are gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteAhh, no problem! I love sharing the sights and sounds of home. Good to hear from you, Linda. Enjoyed your wildflowers, too!
DeleteLaurie, what a special morning that must be! Walking on the beach is such a beautiful thing and I always feel blessed when doing so! Do you live on the beach, if so, that is fantastic! Your photographs are all wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy! We have a little get away place at the beach....not right on the ocean, but only about a city block away.
DeleteWhat a lovely stroll on the beach!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Carol!
