War Paint Weekend

Saturday was so warm, sort of hot, actually. The lake is still much too cool to go swimming and I'm pretty sure Lidia and Sawyer have outgrown their wet-suits, so they opted to play down by the water's edge, instead. Maybe you've noticed that our soil is red clay. According to Sawyer, it makes great war paint.

Lidia was all to happy to apply the war paint.

Thick is good.

It's important to have complete coverage.

 Until, it starts to dry.

They had a time trying to wash the war paint off, down at the lake.
It was straight to the showers for them.

Be still my heart! She is growing up way too fast.

And because it's Spring and I love blooms and flowers, I'm sharing the crab apple tree, again.

Happy Days,
