Thistle
Colorado Columbine
I may need to buy a field guide. I thought it would be easier to identify these flowers. I'll keep searching and update, when I know.
Talk soon,
Laurie
Beautiful wildflowers! They are do diverse and colourful. I particularly love the Mariposa Lily Flower!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it gorgeous? I've never seen one before this trip.
ReplyDeleteWildflowers are just as beautiful as cultivated ones, don't you think? We even have a couple of those here in northern Minnesota.
ReplyDeleteI do think so, Mama Pea. Sometimes I think they're more beautiful when strewn or dotted in meadows. I still haven't been able to identify all of them. I'm going to look for a field guide tomorrow.
DeleteMore great photos! You even made A thistle look pretty! Ha. I like the Golden Asters.
ReplyDeleteLisa
Thanks, Lisa! I learned to stay away from the thistles, on our last trip. How on earth can something so pretty hurt so bad. Lol!!
DeleteThat Mariposa Lily!!! I want a field of those!
ReplyDeleteYou and me both, Betsy! I have never seen nor heard of them before. And, I only saw just this one on our hike. I'm going to have to go back to see if there's more.
DeleteLaurie, I loved seeing the wildflowers. The lily was a very pretty one. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteThanks, Susie. Wouldn't a vase full of those lilies be so stunning?
DeleteOh! The beauty of flowers♥

Hi Summer, nice to see you here! And yes, there's nothing like the beauty of flowers.
DeleteYou are my kind of hiker....stopping to take pictures on flowers.
ReplyDeleteAlways, Always!
DeleteHi Laurie, the 3rd flower photo is buckwheat turning red. It starts out a creamy color. The 5th looks like lupine to me.
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, good to see you here. Thank you for the flower information. I was trying to find the names online, but wasn't too successful. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
