I Was Wrong

 Remember this?
Remember that I called it a Crabapple Tree a few posts back?

 Well, I was wrong.

When it started blooming, I never thought that it could be a Bradford Pear because of it's shape. It's crown is more conical than round.

And another feature was the thorns on it's branches.
I had never heard nor read that flowering pears had thorns.

Well, apparently they do. But this particular pear is not a Bradford.
Nope, it's called a Callery Pear Tree.....gorgeous blossoms, thorns and all.
It is a relative of the Bradford Pear.

This was taken Easter weekend.
I was so busy that I didn't post any blooms that weekend.

I just don't see how you can get much prettier than this Wisteria...

 ....except maybe the Dogwoods.

I was busy in the garden again, today. I pulled up the last of the grass,
but ran out of newspaper and couldn't finish the second half.
Cliff is stopping by Mama's on the way to work in the morning to pick up more.
I'll be back in business by tomorrow evening.

Happy Day,
Laurie
