Cliff and I were walking down a long boardwalk
leading to a
dock on Lake Waccamaw, last weekend. Before breaking through to this gorgeousness, though, the area surrounding the boardwalk was nothing but swampland.
And right there in the middle of it...up popped these sweet flowers.
There’s
always something
blooming. Can I get an Amen?
They look so much like a Magnolia. And, since I can't 100% confirm that they are a species of the Magnolia family, in particular the Sweetbay Magnolia.....I'm calling it Fleur de Waccamaw.
