True leaves beginning to emerge....just in time to set out in the

Oh, the potential!

    1. It is exciting. I've been a dutiful babysitter. I wondered if you lived near where the storms are. Hope all is well out there.

  3. And the wait is on. I hope we have a good summer. Last year it was so dry.
I think your sprouts are darling.

    1. Those cute little babies! Lol!! I hope we don't have the scorcher we had last summer. But I have a drip system in place, just in case.

  4. Aren't they just the cutest at this stage? They are like little miracles popping from the soil. Love it.

    1. Oh, they are. Can you believe so much life is in just one of those tiny seeds? Just one seed will make me at least 4 pints of sauerkraut. Yum!

  5. Oh, just look at those beautiful little sprouts! What is most amazing to me is the HUGE plants into which they can grow.

    1. I'm sure you miss gardening. I sure would. Maybe you can grow some vegetables in pots, if you have the room.

  7. Hi Laurie, I have decided to not use by grow light in the house as have downsized but I just got a huge cold frame so will start something out there soon! Are those peas or what are your seedlings? Nancy

    1. Hi Nancy, these are cabbage and onion seedlings. This is my first year using a grow light. I'm sure I have lots to learn. We live in a mild climate....we are having 60 and 70 degree days, but it's still cool at night. Last year I planted in March because we were having a few warm weeks and it backfired. We then had two different freezes. I almost lost my garden. So that's why I decided to start the seeds indoors....but I wonder how cold frames would work for me. I may check into that. Hope you get to garden soon.

  9. I just know that you are going to have a great garden. I saw somewhere where you can start seedlings in cones that are for ice cream. You just plant the whole cone when ready to plant!

    1. Thanks Janey! Huh, never heard of the ice cream cone trick. That would be a great project for kids.
