  3. Poor little birdie. I have doves that do that at my backdoor because of the tinted window.

    1. I have had them bump into our glass doors, too. It stuns them sometimes. Do you have tinted windows to help with the sun?

    1. I guess...some think he's defending his territory against his reflection. He's got to be completely confused, if he's trying to fight the bird looking back at him. Happy Spring to you, Tanya!

  7. He's acting very territorially. Does he have a nearby nest?

    1. I thought he and the misses had made a nest in the crook of the rain gutter, but just this morning saw purple finches in it with their babies. He may have a nest nearby, I just haven't seen it.

  8. Laurie- how do you capture such amazing shots?
I still feel like my photography is hit or miss.
I have even thought about going back to a point and shoot camera.

    Sorry for whining!

    1. No problem, Laura. I got a new camera for Christmas. My old camera only had 6 megapixels and my new camera has 18. I think that makes a big difference in my pictures. And when I shoot birds...I use the sports option. It captures movement much better than any other option. Other than that, I zoom in as much as I can. I love close-ups. Hope that helps.

  9. At least you got good shots of it! Almost national geographic like...

  10. For such smart little creatures, birds can do the strangest things! I think they must believe that a car's mirrors were made especially for them to perch upon and wait for that other birdie who keeps making mad dashes at them. Love your pics of the little fellow!
